Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

BuilderLync Inc. (“BuilderLync,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects information you provide directly to us, including:

• Name, email address, phone number, and company information when you create an account or request a demo
• Billing and payment information when you subscribe to our services
• Customer and job data you enter into the platform
• Communications you send to us (support tickets, emails, chat)
• Usage data, device information, and cookies collected automatically when you use our services
• Google user data you authorize us to access when you connect a Google account (see Section 3, “Google User Data”)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve our services
• To process transactions and send related information
• To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages
• To respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
• To communicate with you about products, services, offers, and events
• To monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity

3. Google User Data

When you choose to connect a Google account to BuilderLync, we access “Google user data” on your behalf through Google’s OAuth 2.0 consent flow. We only request the OAuth scopes needed to power features you turn on, and we display each scope on the Google consent screen before you approve access. You can review and revoke BuilderLync’s access at any time from myaccount.google.com/permissions.

3.1 What we access, why, and how long we keep it

We request the minimum scopes needed for the features you enable. If BuilderLync adds a new integration that requires additional Google scopes, we will update this policy and re-prompt you for consent before accessing that data.

3.2 Limited Use of Google user data

BuilderLync’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, BuilderLync does not:

• use Google user data to serve advertising, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising;
• sell Google user data or transfer it to data brokers, information resellers, or any third party for advertising or credit-worthiness purposes;
• use Google user data for credit-worthiness or lending decisions;
• allow humans to read Google user data unless (a) we have obtained your affirmative agreement to view specific messages, files, or events; (b) it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse; (c) it is required to comply with applicable law; or (d) the data has been aggregated and anonymized in a way that cannot be traced back to any individual;
• use Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.

3.3 Disconnecting Google and deleting Google user data

You can disconnect your Google account from inside BuilderLync (Settings → Integrations → Google) or by revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting stops future data flow immediately and triggers deletion of the cached Google user data described in Section 3.1 within 30 days. To request full account deletion, email privacy@builderlync.com from the address associated with your account.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or transfer Google user data. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers (“subprocessors”) who perform services on our behalf under written data-protection agreements. Current categories include cloud hosting and application infrastructure (Netlify, Supabase), transactional email and CRM tooling (GoHighLevel), analytics (Google Analytics), and payment processing.
• To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or valid government requests
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of BuilderLync, our users, or others
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (subject to the confidentiality and use restrictions in this Policy)
• With your consent or at your direction

Google user data is transferred to a subprocessor only when strictly necessary to provide the feature you enabled, and every subprocessor that receives Google user data is contractually bound to the same Limited Use restrictions described in Section 3.2.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), regular security audits, role-based access controls, secrets management, and secure data centers. Google OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and access-scoped to the services that require them. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your personal information, including Google user data cached by BuilderLync
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured format
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, including revoking Google OAuth authorization

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We may retain certain information for legitimate business purposes or as required by law. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, including any cached Google user data, within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes — including any expansion of the Google OAuth scopes we request or the ways we use Google user data — will be announced by updating the “Last updated” date and, where required, by notifying you in-product or by email before the change takes effect.
